What is the NFL RedZone Channel?

The NFL RedZone Channel shows you just that: when a team is in the red zone.

This channel will jump to whichever team is inside the 20-yard line with a chance to score. The channel also shows replays of outstanding pick-6s, tackles, one-handed grabs, and Hail Marys—you’re guaranteed to see the most exciting plays of the game with NFL RedZone.

RedZone will show you these best moments during the Sunday morning and afternoon games (so not the Sunday Night Football game).

It’s also commercial-free, which means you get hours of football without interruption.

If this sounds like a dream come true, you’ll want to go to the next section to find out how to get this channel on your TV or streaming device.

How can I get the NFL RedZone Channel?

Which TV providers have NFL RedZone? This channel is available with six providers that we recommend: fuboTV, YouTube TV, Xfinity TV, DISH TV, and Sling TV.

fuboTV and YouTube TV are our two favorite live TV streaming services, with YouTube TV offering exclusive access to NFL SUNDAY TICKET for the 2023 NFL season. Xfinity TV is the best cable TV provider on the market, DISH TV is the most inexpensive satellite provider, and Sling TV is for money-savers.

fuboTV is the best pick for avid sports fans

fuboTV is a live TV streaming service with a pretty solid combination of sports, kids, lifestyle, and news channels. fuboTV is No. 1 on our list of best streaming services for sports because you can get over 50 sports channels.

Like the other TV providers, you'll have to get a base package and then get an add-on to access NFL RedZone. In fuboTV's case, you'll want the Sports Plus add-on for $10.99 per month.

If you get the Pro plan and the Sports Plus add-on, your monthly bill will be $5 more than YouTube TV and its Sports Plus add-on.

But fuboTV's Sports Plus add-on comes with 23 channels, whereas YouTube TV's comes with 14. And there's another but...YouTube TV's add-on has a few channels that fuboTV doesn't, so make sure you're not a big poker or outdoor sports fan before you subscribe to fuboTV.

The channels included in fuboTV's Sports Plus add-on are the following:

  • Fight Network
  • FUEL TV
  • Game+
  • IMPACT Wrestling
  • Next Level Sports
  • NFL RedZone
  • MLB Network Strike Zone
  • PAC-12 Network
  • PAC-12 Networks (six regional)
  • SportsGrid
  • Stadium (four channels)
  • Tennis Channel
  • TVG2
  • VSiN
  • Zona Fútbol

YouTube TV is great for sports-watching families

YouTube TV is one of our favorite live TV streaming services because it charges an average price for a solid channel lineup and the ability to add on all premium channels or sports bonuses, like the NFL RedZone Channel and NFL SUNDAY TICKET.

YouTube TV used to be at the bottom of this list because the Sports Plus add-on only had seven channels. Now, it has 14.

YouTube TV's Sports Plus includes the following channels:

  • beIN SPORTS
  • Billiard TV
  • Fight Network
  • FOX Soccer Plus
  • IMPACT Wrestling
  • NFL RedZone Channel
  • MAVTV Motorsports Network
  • Outside TV+
  • PlayersTV
  • PokerGO+
  • SportsGrid
  • Stadium
  • TVG
  • VSiN

YouTube TV's channel lineup is on our best streaming services for sports list because it has NFL Network, NBA TV, and 12 other sports channels in the base plan.

It's the only live TV streaming service that gives you the three major sports networks for $73/month. YouTube TV will also be the new home for NFL SUNDAY TICKET for the 2023 NFL season.

You can choose to purchase NFL Sunday Ticket alone or bundled with a YouTube TV. The same is possible for NFL RedZone (if you don't purchase it in the sports plus add-on), and you can even bundle Sunday Ticket with NFL RedZone without subscribing to YouTube TV. Check out YouTube TV's bundles with NFL Sunday Ticket and NFL RedZone below:

Plus $72.99/mo recurring for YouTube TV. Compatible device and internet connection required. Offers and availability may vary by location and are subject to change.

In addition to the sports brilliance, YouTube TV has Disney Channel for the little ones and HGTV and MSNBC for the spouse.

No term contract. Broadcast TV fee and regional sports fee extra; price subj to change. Taxes and equipment not included.

Xfinity TV offers 23 sports channels in the Ultimate TV package, and you can get even more by ordering the More Sports & Entertainment add-on for $9.99 per month.

We can't say we're confident that this add-on has only 12 channels because Xfinity doesn't list the exact channels anywhere of what you'll be receiving. So, we gathered what we could on their website.

We can guarantee that you'll get to watch Saturday college football games, watch your Fantasy Football points go up while watching the NFL RedZone Channel on Sunday, and then enjoy an MLB game during the week.

Xfinity’s More Sports & Entertainment add-on gives you the following channels:

  • Big Ten Network (BTN)
  • CBS Sports Network
  • CMT
  • ESPNU
  • NFL RedZone Channel
  • NFL Network
  • NBA TV
  • Military History
  • MLB TV
  • NHL Network
  • PAC-12 Network
  • Turner Classic Movies (TCM)

DISH comes in fourth place for the NFL RedZone Channel because it's pricier than the above three services, and some of their add-on channels are already included in the TV packages.

If you get the America's Top 200 plan, you'll essentially be adding only five channels with the add-on. But it's worth it for the NFL RedZone Channel.

But we can't deny that DISH has loads of channels and is the best for college sports fans. And you can get close to 30 sports channels with DISH’s America’s Top 200 plan.

DISH's Multi-sports Pack is $13 per month and promises 16 sports networks and channels. You’ll have to order either DISH’s America’s Top 200 or 250 plan to get the sports add-on, and then you’ll have access to an excellent sports-watching experience.

DISH’s multi-sports pack includes the following channels:

  • ACC Network (ACCN)
  • beIn Sports
  • beIN Sports en Español
  • Big Ten Network (BTN)
  • FOX Sports 2 (FS2)
  • NFL RedZone Channel
  • NFL Network
  • NBA TV
  • MLB Network
  • MLB Network Strike Zone
  • NHL Network
  • Longhorn Network
  • PAC-12 Network
  • SEC Network
  • Olympic Channel
  • Outside TV

DISH used to promise 35 sports channels in the Multi-sports pack, which included niche coverage for tennis, rugby, and MMA. What happened, DISH?

Sling TV is the cheapest option for NFL RedZone fanatics

Sling is known as an excellent budget pick, but that also means you won’t be getting a big channel lineup with this live TV streaming service.

For $40, you can get 39 channels, three of which are sports channels (FS1, NFL Network, and TNT for basketball fans). The Orange + Blue plan gives you those and three ESPN channels.

Sling TV has a Sling Orange plan, but do not—I repeat—do not order this package because the Sports Extra won't include the NFL RedZone Channel.

Sling might not offer enough sports channels for the regular sports fan, but it offers a fantastic Sports Extra add-on for $11 per month.

Sling’s Sports Extra add-on includes the following 12 channels:

  • beIN SPORTS
  • Big Ten Network
  • FS2
  • Golf Channel
  • MLB Network
  • MLB Strike Zone
  • NBA TV
  • NFL RedZone Channel
  • NHL Network
  • PAC-12 Network
  • Olympic Channel
  • Tennis Channel

How can I get NFL RedZone without cable or satellite TV?

Unfortunately, you can’t. You can watch NFL RedZone and NFL Network through the NFL app, but you’ll have to sign in with your TV provider.

Sling TV will be the most inexpensive way to stream the NFL RedZone Channel at $46/month ($40 for the TV plan and $11 for the Sports Extra add-on).

Does your home have enough bandwidth for streaming?
Megaphone

We should also mention that fuboTV suggests you have at least a 20 Mbps internet connection for a smooth stream while using the app. (Not sure what internet speed you have? Test it out with our tool.)

Recap: Is the NFL RedZone Channel worth it?

Is watching the Super Bowl worth it?

NFL RedZone is worth it if you want to see the best moments of Sunday’s NFL games, you want to keep up on your fantasy team, and you’re a “player's person.”

If this sounds like you (of course it does), we recommend these TV providers:

  • fuboTVfuboTV gives you up to 50 sports channels in your channel lineup, and you can order the Sports Extra add-on for $11/month to get the NFL RedZone Channel plus 22 sports channels.
  • YouTube TVYouTube TV is the service that offers exclusive access to NFL SUNDAY TICKET starting the 2023 NFL season. You can also access NFL Network, NBA TV, and 12 other sports channels for the price of $73/month. You can stream the NFL RedZone Channel with its Sports Plus add-on for $11/month.
  • Xfinity TV: Xfinity’s More Sports & Entertainment add-on gives you the NFL RedZone Channel and at least 11 other sports or entertainment channels for $10/month. We recommend ordering Xfinity's Ultimate TV plan to access 23 sports channels in addition to the add-on.
  • DISH TV: DISH's Multi-sports Pack lets you enjoy 16 sports channels, including the NFL RedZone Channel. This satellite TV provider provides serious sports coverage, especially for college sports fans, and it's a great option if you're looking for something other than a live TV streaming service.
  • Sling TV: Sling TV is your most inexpensive option for the NFL RedZone Channel. Grab the Sling Blue package for $40 and the Sports Extra add-on for $11, and pay at least 40% less than any other TV provider.
